In connection with Holocaust Memorial Day in 2017, Humanity in Action Denmark hosted the public event “Refugees and History” with panel guests Ole Phillipson, former charge d’affaire to Chile and Danish Jewish refugee to Sweden in 1943; Mozhdeh Ghasemiyani, psychologists with Doctors Without Borders, Humanity in Action Senior Fellow and former refugee to Denmark from Iran; Gabrielle Salmuth, volunteer coordinator at a cultural café for current refugees in Denmark; and Khoshnaw Nameq, asylum seeker and resident of Kærshovedgård, home of rejected asylum seekers.
