Hello Vienna!
Our most active participants of the “Mitigating Online Radicalization and Online Hate-Speech” program Lejla Mušanović, Arnes Jeleč, Olja Beader and Nejla Nanić are rewarded with a two day study trip to Vienna and accompanied by the HIA team members Emina and Veronika, during which they visited several institutions which are tackling different kinds of radicalization to learn from their work and experiences and also share their own engagement on the topic within the program and the projects they implemented.

The Fellows visited The International Dialogue Centre (KAICIID), an intergovernmental organisation that promotes inter-religious dialogue to prevent and resolve conflict, and the International Institute for Peace – IIP, a non-governmental organisation with consultative status at ECOSOC and UNESCO which pursues the objective of providing a platform to promote non-violent conflict resolution in different areas of the world and to a wide range of people.

The two-day Vienna Study trip was successfully wrapped up after meeting with the representative of the International Fellowship of Reconciliation – IFOR and Dr Regina Polak, professor at the University of Vienna affiliated with the OSCE – The Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe. Our participants learned about the initiatives that the IFOR is developing in the field of non-violent communication and in cooperation with the youth, while Dr Polak shared about the activities that the OSCE is conducting in cooperation with Austrian NGO’s.
