Landecker Fellow Noufel Bouzeboudja's #PremiereLigne Project in Action

Details

Article

Noufel’s action project is the creation and implementation of an online platform called #PremiereLigne to disseminate stories of Paris working-class neighbourhoods and banlieue residents. (You can read more about the Action Project here.)

The project presents doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, health personnel, bakers, delivery people, drivers, cashiers, nannies, firefighters, social workers, teachers, associations, volunteers…  Simply put, the VIPs of everyday life. As the project explains: “Despite the risks, they are there, on the front line. They are there for us!”

The first videos featuring these every-day heroes can be found here. You can also find them #PremiereLigne’s YouTube channel.

Noufel is one of thirty Landecker Democracy Fellows. This fellowship, a collaboration between the Alfred Landecker Foundation and Humanity in Action, was created to strengthen a new generation of leaders whose approaches to political and social challenges can become catalysts for democratic placemaking and community building.
