Details

Article

As part of her Humanity in Action Fellowship Action Project, Nitzan Menagem organized a Pessach-Seminar for educators and activists (18+) in Germany and Poland. The seminar ran from March 19th to 21st.

In the month of the biggest Jewish holiday of liberation, Passover, Nitzan wanted to reflect on the ideas of freedom and promote intersectional Jewish perspectives in education work. The weekend was followed by a Passover reception, where the results of the weekend were presented to the community, partners, and friends.

This training was the first of its kind and built on peer-education on the base of socialist and social-democratic values. Following the seminar, a booklet with information is to be published. Three working group topics are: Jewish Women’s Movement, Judaism in the GDR, and Secular Jewish Life Today.
