Asha Iman Veal is the guest curator for Dream, an exhibition of new pieces reflecting on the reality of our world at Hyde Park Art Center.

The Dream exhibition features pieces by twenty artists. Each of them bringing visual conversation on: “police brutality, the female body as monument, freedom of protest, conservation, class inequity, human migration, mortality, mental health, and indigenous visibility and rights.”

The exhibition further caught the eye of  FOX32 Detroit, which invited Asha to introduce the opening exhibition online:

Asha Iman is one of thirty 2020-2021 Landecker Democracy Fellows. This fellowship, a collaboration between the Alfred Landecker Foundation and Humanity in Action, was created to strengthen a new generation of leaders whose approaches to political and social challenges can become catalysts for democratic placemaking and community building.
