On May 23, Reshma Persaud joined forces with the IRC and organized a one day vaccine clinic for 150+ refugee clients.

Reshma, with the help of staff at NYC Health + Hospitals and The Campaign Against Hunger as well as multiple volunteers including Pta. Pratima K. Doobay (Founder of Shridevi Arts), delivered food bags and period supply bags to clients from all over the NYC metro area.

Reshma is one of thirty Landecker Democracy Fellows. This fellowship, a collaboration between the Alfred Landecker Foundation and Humanity in Action, was created to strengthen a new generation of leaders whose approaches to political and social challenges can become catalysts for democratic placemaking and community building.
