Our 2020 HIA Warsaw Fellow, John Lyons, enriched the Wiki article on Ryki with information on Jewish children living in Ryki, who were rescued by Polish families during World War II.

Here’s what he thinks about Wikipedia editing experience: ‘It was so wonderful to work with a team on creating an article! For so many, myself included, Wikipedia is the first stop when learning more about a certain subject. By creating articles that were previously absent from English Wikipedia, I like to think that someone out there might now have an entry point for learning more about these incredibly important subjects.’
