Details

Article

Based in Berlin and New York, the cross-media and multilingual initiative Wings and Roots produces films, educational curricula, and online-platforms. The project, which was initiated by Senior Fellow Christina Antonakos-Wallace and which has been running since 2005, uses these tools to “challenge rigid and exclusionary debates around the topics of integration, migration, and identity.” The project centers the stories and perspectives of young people in its quest to dismantle racism and to foster more inclusive societies. Several Humanity in Action Senior Fellows were interviewed for this initiative.

The following Senior Fellows shared their stories, which can be accessed on the project’s website:

  • Kadijatou Diallo
  • Lorenz Narku Laing
  • Usra Ghazi
  • Aisha Turner
  • Fabrice Guerrier
