Cecilie Seidelin Nobel holds an MA in Human Rights and Democratisation and a BA in China Studies. From her BA, Cecilie has an extensive knowledge of China and is particularly interested in the many human rights challenges Chinese minorities face, as such most of her research has been focused on the oppression of the Uyghurs in Xinjiang. With her MA she increased her general understanding of international human rights standards and security politics. She is also 2020 Copenhagen Fellow.
Cecilie has served on the Humanity in Action Denmark Board of Directors since November 2023.
