Iris obtained her medical degree from the Charité Medical University in Berlin. After completing her doctoral thesis on targeted drug delivery in cancer treatments, she started working as a resident in internal medicine at the University Hospital of Baselland in Switzerland. She will be moving to Geneva next year to pursue her training at the University Hospital. She is working on her Action Project: an interview-collection of inspiring doctors engaged in public, global health or humanitarian aid to inspire medical students to integrate global health into work. After finishing her residency, Iris plans to work in Humanitarian Aid and to engage further in Global Health.
