Katrine Hummelshøj grew up on a farm in Jutland and is currently living in Copenhagen studying for her bachelor’s degree in Anthropology. Last fall she did an internship in Athens with an NGO working for refugees, investigating sports and integration. Academically she is concerned with global (dis)connections, gender, and in particular with structural violence against refugees and migrants in Europe. She has a big desire to meet people and live in different places to improve her understanding of the world and all the reasons that determine it. She advocates for change in multiple ways and puts a big effort into understanding where people come from as well as challenging normativity by bringing in critical, intersectional perspectives.,
