Maja Wróblewska

Maja Wróblewska is a Polish researcher and activist. She studies sociology and law at the College of Interdisciplinary Individual Studies in Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Warsaw, where she previously graduated with honours in liberal arts. Her research interests lie at the intersection of urban studies with a particular focus on housing inequalities and critical policy studies. She works as an academic researcher, analysing the impact of the EU law on energy poverty in social housing in Warsaw. She has also designed research tools for NGOs and private institutions involved in the participatory design of public spaces. Maja has gained experience in running social campaigns as an active member of the ‘Miasto Jest Nasze’ (City is Ours) association, the biggest urban movement in Poland. She worked as a ‘Miasto Jest Nasze’ spokesperson during the 2024 local government campaign, which quadrupled the number of councillors from the association.
