Nate Lundstrom is a researcher and activist from central Illinois working at the intersection of economic justice, sustainable development, and migrant rights. His experience spans legal advocacy, critical research, and language justice — from teaching English through Comparte, a program offering free language workshops to day laborers and college staff in Los Angeles, to interpreting for asylum cases at The Immigration Project. In addition, he has worked in political advocacy at the United Nations’ Third and Fourth committees to the General Assembly, and organizes with the Southern California Sanctuary City Coalition. Lundstrom holds a B.A. in Diplomacy and World Affairs from Occidental College, where he conducted field research in Southern Brazil, examining questions of sovereignty and local resistance movements. Lundstrom is currently co-authoring an article on localized transitional justice processes in Brazil and Argentina. Beyond the classroom you can find him on the football pitch, taking photography, and cooking.
