Born in Tokyo and raised primarily in South-East Asia, Noor is currently in her second year studying Politics & International Relations at the University of Bristol. She has assisted and conducted research for the award-winning former Bosnian war correspondent Janine di Giovanni, developing her avid interest in journalism and peace and conflict studies. In addition, Noor gained professional experience and analytical skills in international NGO work through her programme assistant role at the Police and Human Rights division of Amnesty International Netherlands. As an event organiser for the Bristol International Development Conference and team member of the Movies that Matter film festival, she has learnt how to raise awareness for and engage people with important global issues. In the next year, Noor is intending to further her academic knowledge of climate governance and multilateral cooperation and find new ways to be politically engaged.
