Rae Dunbar is pursuing a Master of Science in Climate Change at the University of Copenhagen and is interning at Humanity in Action Denmark as part of her studies. She completed a BS in Environmental Studies-Biology, with a minor in Mathematics and aspires to humbly assist marginalized communities and endangered ecosystems in adapting to climate change. She has experience running student organizations and events, chairing the Environmental Affairs Committee in Student Government and the Environmental Club in her Undergrad University, where she organized an environmental justice event for students. She was also a biology teaching assistant and completed chemistry and biology lab research, rigorous desktop research for a paper on climate finance, and some published works including a policy brief on digitalisation, a web page about Iceland and climate change, and a news article on climate adaptation in Copenhagen. She has also interned with several nonprofits, including ICLEI Global, where she helped develop and write proposals for climate adaptation and sustainable development projects in the Global South. Right now she facilitates regular meetings and helps run events and protests as a member of the International branch of the Green Youth Movement (IGDUB).
