Sanam grew up across continents in a Dutch-Pakistani household, shaping her global perspective and commitment to equity. She holds a Bachelor in Geography from the University of St Andrews, where her award-nominated dissertation examined the decolonisation of language and practice in the Dutch-based development sector.

Her work is driven by a dedication to climate justice, decolonisation, and health equity. She has contributed to the British Red Cross, VluchtelingenWerk Nederland, and Iedereen Aan Boord, addressing local solutions to global challenges in sustainability and development. To her roles she brings a blend of analytical and research skills, cultural insight, and a passion for food, music, nature and community building.

Sanam aims to pursue a Master’s in Global Health and Development and work in NGOs advancing health equity and social justice worldwide.
