Valeriya Boyko is a human who writes, makes films, and researches the dynamics of group conflict. She holds an MSc in Psychology and Learning Sciences, and has spent several years working with NGOs and the private sector to design transformational learning experiences.

Born in Donetsk, which she left shortly before the war began in 2014, Valeriya has since lived across multiple countries and developed a lasting connection with Sarajevo. Her journey into film began serendipitously—after befriending a stranger on the street—and led her to writing scripts and working in production.

Her work explores the spaces between education and conflicts, touching upon topics of memory and collective agency.
