Ramiro A. Hernández is a fronterizo strategist, researcher, and storyteller from the Rio Grande Valley of South Texas. As a first-generation college graduate and community college alum, his work bridges data, design, and narrative to build more just and equitable systems. He has supported over 25 institutions across the U.S. and Mexico—from local nonprofits to global funders—on initiatives advancing education, civic engagement, and economic mobility. Throughout his work, Ramiro has led research impacting over 600,000 community college students and secured over $3 million for data-centered initiatives. He is currently a beVisioneers Mercedes-Benz Fellow and Youth250 Board Member, elevating borderland leadership on national and global stages. Rooted in place and memory, Ramiro’s work seeks to honor community wisdom while co-creating new futures grounded in dignity, care, and collective power.
