Action Projects - Germany
Our community takes action to defend democratic values around the world. Explore our Fellows' Action Projects here.
In the 11 months following the on-site Fellowship program, our Fellows work on their Action Project: an independent venture focused on promoting democratic values in their own communities. Action Projects are as diverse as Humanity in Action Fellows. Fellows apply their new knowledge and perspectives to the communities they impact—in whatever format they find meaningful. The Humanity in Action community is a great resource for getting support—be it with contacts, experience or good advice.

Not Just a Private Issue
Not Just a Private Issue is a project created by Lefkothea Rizopoulou, based in Greece, which brings females together with the aim of raising questions and opening a dialogue around gender-based violence. Lefkothea organised a series of workshops which created awareness, highlighted vital information, and forged deep connections and channels of understanding between the women involved.
Haar Minaret: An online community platform, network and archive
As her Action Project, Landecker Democracy Fellow Alina is creating an online platform that gives answer to the needs of various Muslims in the Netherlands for a more inclusive Islamic community where experiences can be shared, language to articulate these is created, conversations are ongoing, and home within a Muslim community is an option again.
