The University of Edinburgh publishes Enlightened, a digital magazine for their alumni. In their most recent feature, the magazine has published a short essay by Senior Landecker Fellow Laura Westring.
The essay titled The Shapeshifter is about Laura’s experience of Scottish identity and speechwriting as a woman and a minority.
“Scotland is the gift my parents and grandparents gave me and, from that gift, I gained the ability to inhabit two worlds,” introduces Laura her essay, describing her path to her current life “with increasing confidence on [her] own terms.”
- The essay is available on this Enlightened page.
