Inès Seddiki showcased in Visages De La Réussie

Senior Fellow Inès Seddiki was invited to speak at the Hôtel de Ville in Paris as a part of the Article 1 event. Article 1 is an organization that works to ensure that young people, regardless of their background and upbringing, have equal opportunities to learn and grow. France is ranked as one of the worst performers in terms equal opportunities for youth of different classes, meaning that social mobility is out of reach for many. Article 1 provides guidance and support to youth from historically disadvantaged backgrounds to help them get on a more level playing field with the rest of the population.

Visages de la Réussite is a project and book that showcases sixty young people who defied the odds with extraordinary successes, despite the systematic difficulties that face their communities. Their portraits and successes were celebrated in an event at Hôtel de Ville in Paris. Inès, who grew up in the banlieues of Paris, was showcased in this project. Her work in social justice and youth empowerment, particularly in the form of GHETT’UP, were recognized and celebrated in this showcase of extraordinary talent and success.
