Details

Article

On January 17, Francis Seeck spoke about classism as a form of discrimination at Ruhr University in Bochum.

The online event held on Zoom was part of the joint lecture series “University and Intersectionality” and coordinated by the campaign “Our Campus” and the project “RUB shows its colors.”

During the lecture, Francis engaged on a form of discrimination largely overlooked, classism, which refers to “discrimination based on class origin or class membership.” Throughout, they addressed how classism shape universities and what education would look like in a socially just society.
