In Poland, concerns about freedom of the press have been revived by “Lex TVN,” a controversial bill that critics say is supposed to silence the government’s uncomfortable TVN.
To discuss this proposal, which is still to be voted on by the upper house of the Polish Parliament, and to see whether its opponents’ claims stating it is trimming media freedom are justified, Paulina Milewska appeared as a guest on the Czech “Vinohradská 12” Podcast discussing freedom of the press in Poland after a newly introduced controversial bill.
“Poland still has freedom of the press, however, this freedom is shrinking,” Paulina explained.
