Landecker Fellow Judith Blijden’s ‘The Digital Period’ is highlighted in this year’s edition of the brochure published for the Computers, Privacy & Data Protection Conference (CPDP) taking place in Brussels, Belgium in May 2023.
“We must remain ever vigilant and critical on the impact of technological convergences on power structures, fundamental rights, democratic values, and on our daily lives as a society,” introduce this year’s conference the organizers. Indeed, this is precisely what Judith’s project aims to do.
“The Digital Period is an open research project that examines my own and society’s relationship with technology,” she explains.
In fact, the organizers invited Judith to CPDP to share more about her work researching and discussing period apps and how they represent an increasingly intimate connection between individuals and technology. To read the interview, scroll to page 76 of the CPDP Brochure.
