Despite significant improvements in limiting the spread of COVID-19 with mandated social distancing measures and mass vaccination campaigns, experts have remained alert on the evolution of the pandemic.

For Amish and the other specialised co-authors, there remains a critical need for investment in improving immunization databases as a way to prevent vaccine-preventable infections.
