Article

Senior Fellow Noam Schimmel was recently published in Peace Review: A Journal of Social Justice, with his article, “A Critical Perspective on Reconciliation and a Rwandan Case Study.”

In his article, Noam reflects on the use of reconciliation in the context of transitional justice and peace studies. His article uses the case study of the Rwandan government’s reconciliation policies following the Rwandan Genocide to examine how reconciliation can “heal and encourage peace, but it can also marginalize, harm, and undermine justice and accountability, and raise social tensions.”
