Anna Arlet

Article

Anna is a Polish psychologist and activist focused on the intersection of mental health and social justice. She studied clinical psychology at the University of Szczecin, where she also volunteered as a peer counsellor. Her work has supported youth, accompanied refugees, and advocated for survivors of violence. She is particularly interested in post-conflict societies and how historical trauma shapes communities across generations.

Anna’s work is grounded in her lived experiences and a belief that mental health is a systemic issue requiring collective responsibility. She co-founded #NieJestemWyglądem, a body awareness initiative centred on community programming, and currently volunteers with NAMI Philadelphia, Amnesty International, and several grassroots projects. She’s also a 2025 CEE Fellow, exploring the role of community care in civil society.

Through her work, Anna hopes to promote proactive, preventative mental health education. She believes that emotional literacy is foundational to social resilience and, therefore, essential to any thriving democracy.
