Antonis Antoniou

Antonis Antoniou’s professional background is mostly connected to
working with socially disadvantaged populations. These include people with addiction problems, young offenders, refugees and immigrants as well as groups inside penitentiary centers. In 1999 he graduated from the Department of Psychology of the University of Crete in Rethimno. After that, he attended two Masters Degree Programs: the Counseling Psychology Program at the National University of Athens and the Organizational and Economic Psychology program at Panteion University.

Since 2002 he has been attending training programs at the European Center for the Study of Anthropos (AKMA). He has been a collaborator of the center since 2009. In 2009 he started his private practice, which includes individual and group psychotherapy. His collaboration with ARSIS began in 2002. He worked in various fields, including interventions in prisons and schools. He has also coordinated and supervised a number of projects. From 2009 to 2011 he was the general supervisor of the office of ARSIS in Athens. Right now he is the coordinator of the support activities of the organization and a youth worker, while also being the supervisor of the volunteers and the interns of ARSIS.

Outside of work, Antonis Antoniou’s passions are music (playing drums, percussion, guitar), art (drawing, comics), cinema and travelling.
