Brenda Kusi-Appiah is a Ghanaian-German political scientist and writer passionate about educational equity, cultural representation, and human rights, particularly focusing on empowering marginalized communities through storytelling and media. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Public Law from Goethe University Frankfurt, where she specialized in democratic governance as well as international and constitutional politics.
During and after her studies, she interned at ZEIT Campus in Hamburg, the German Consulate General in New York, and UNHCR in Vienna. Committed to educational equity and the development of the African continent, Brenda currently serves on the organizing committee of the AIIA Moot Court, which takes place in Accra, Ghana, and aims to foster cross-cultural legal exchange between African and European students. As a Humanity in Action Fellow, she seeks to advance inclusive dialogue and empower marginalized voices through education and advocacy.
