Elise Otmani is a recent graduate from the Dual BA Program between Sciences Po Paris and Columbia University. She majored in Economics and Philosophy though she is also interested in art and political theory. Of Kabylian descent, she has already been involved with NGOs aimed at facilitating migrants’ integration into French society. She is now directing her efforts at defending the queer community by using art’s appeasing qualities. She is inspired by José Esteban Muñoz’s invitation to see queerness as an ideality to strive for by imagining queer futures. Her Action Project is an attempt to envision a queer utopia by uniting queer artists’s universes. In her free time, she is usually on the lookout for new artists to discover on Spotify! She hopes to pursue a career combining art and human rights.
