Elise Otmani is a recent graduate from the Dual BA Program between Sciences Po Paris and Columbia University. They majored in Economics and Philosophy though they are also interested in art and political theory. Of Kabylian descent, they have already been involved with NGOs aimed at facilitating migrants’ integration into French society. They are now directing their efforts at defending the queer community by using art’s appeasing qualities. Elise is inspired by José Esteban Muñoz’s invitation to see queerness as an ideality to strive for by imagining queer futures. Their Action Project is an attempt to envision a queer utopia by uniting queer artists’s universes. In their free time, they are usually on the lookout for new artists to discover on Spotify! Elise hopes to pursue a career combining art and human rights.
