Jae Kim

Jae Kim is a Korean-American scholar, activist, and environmentalist deeply passionate about the intersection of climate science, public policy, and human health. Jae is currently researching climate/health intersections at the Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI). In the past, Jae has worked at the Urban Institute, Baker Institute for Public Policy, and Harris County Office of Sustainability, the third most populous county in the US. Jae is a recent graduate from Rice University, with a major in Integrative Biology and a minor in Environmental Studies. Jae is also a 2025 Rhodes Scholar, set to begin an MSc in Environmental Change and Management at the University of Oxford. Eventually, Jae hopes to pursue a career as a physician-advocate, bringing to the world’s attention how human health and the health of our planet are inextricably connected.
