Born and raised in Athens, Vassilis Kanakis is a young HR professional with experience both in Corporate and NGO environments. He holds a Bachelor in Management Science and Technology from Athens University of Economics and Business, and he completed his MSc in Strategic Human Resource Management at ALBA Graduate Business School. He has also spent an Erasmus semester abroad in Antwerp. He has been involved in AIESEC, a Greek organization, as well as in TEDx event as Speakers’ Director. Being people oriented, he is passionate about interaction with others, and he also loves hearing and discussing new ideas. Through his involvement with this year’s HIA Fellowship, he aims to direct his efforts towards a more impactful life by engaging in actions that will help others build a better life and override any social and mental barriers, also improving the perception of his community in human rights.
