Landecker Democracy Fellow Tomasz Cebulski founded a research and historical interpretation center, POLIN TRAVEL. He is an experienced genealogist and licensed tour leader in Poland and Central Europe. His project is a “Teen Flying University” ( or "Latający Uniwersytet Młodzieży" in Polish) and it will teach local history to help build a global future.

A digital magazine focused on amplifying the behind-the-scenes creative processes of artists, Creative Sanctum also empowers artists as activists. Sharon seeks to implement community-driven commissioned artwork to mobilize community voices in protecting democracy.

Landecker Democracy Fellow Laura Westring is a writer and Leadership Communications Consultant who leads Public Affairs at Amiqus, a tech for good company. In her project she will develop Scotland's first residential (or online) Speech Writing School which will inspire young people from diverse backgrounds to cultivate their leadership potential.

Make friends not war – social media literacy campaign against disinformation & radicalization
Landecker Democracy Fellow Ignacy Niemczycki is an expert in communication and European affairs. He is a former civil servant who worked on the European Union budget and is a journalist dealing with European Union affairs. He would like to work on an education and communication campaign to build media literacy competencies among the most vulnerable groups, which include younger and older citizens from smaller communities.

Leaving no one behind - Training civic rescuers while raising awareness on the drowning human rights in the seas of Europe.
Landecker Democracy Fellow Iason Apostolopoulos is the field coordinator of the Italian humanitarian organization Mediterranea Saving Humans, where he leads the Search and Rescue operations in the central Mediterranean Sea onboard the Mare Jonio rescue vessel. The idea os his project is to promote the concept of civil response at sea to a wider audience and to strengthen the already existing network of people who actively protect migrants’ lives. The mobilization of local communities is a crucial factor in this process.

Claiming our Institutions – Network and Empowerment for BIPOC in Administrations
Landecker Democracy Fellow Evein Obulor is working on different levels of our societies to fight racism. In her current position as the Coordinator of the European Coalition of Cities Against Racism she works on racial injustices at the city level. Within the next 12 months, she wants to create a network in Germany for BIPOC working within local governments, politics, and administrations and a platform to BIPOC network and exchange best practices.

Her project aims to create a proof of concept for bridging political divides by building networks between autonomous places that are experiencing diverse economic and social issues
