As part of her Landecker Project, Asha Iman Veal has organized Placemaking & Community Live Conversations. On October 8 at 11am EDT/5pm CEST, she will host a roundtable discussion with human rights and anti-discrimination advocates from Berlin, Wroclaw and Athens.
This live conversation will feature Landecker Fellows:
- Christina Bukalo – Founder of Statefree.World
- Lena Bielska – Founder and President of the HerStory Foundation
- Vincent Kadiri – Biomedical Researcher and founder of Na’egbia lyese scientists of color collective
- Iason Apostolopoulos – Rescue Coordinator at Mediterranea Saving Humans (pending ship schedule)
The conversation will be moderated by Hilesh Patel (Executive Director of the Invisible Institute) and will take place on Zoom with a rebroadcast on Lumpen Radio.

Asha Iman is one of thirty Landecker Democracy Fellows. This fellowship, a collaboration between the Alfred Landecker Foundation and Humanity in Action, was created to strengthen a new generation of leaders whose approaches to political and social challenges can become catalysts for democratic placemaking and community building.
