Ashley Portillo currently serves as the Coordinator of Health Programs at the Academy of Medical and Public Health Services (AMPHS) located in Brooklyn, New York. Ashley oversees the clinical screening programs at AMPHS as well as the organizational advocacy efforts in New York State issue campaigns such as Coverage 4 All, New York Health Act, New York Counts 2020, and those in opposition to federal immigration policy changes that adversely affect all immigrant New Yorkers. Ashley also facilitates Know Your Immigrant Rights workshops and is an advocate for the rights of undocumented individuals living in NYC.
