About the Fellowship

Humanity in Action placed Senior Fellows at leading, innovative NGOs and civic institutions in the Bay Area, where they worked four days a week and gain professional experience working on human rights and diversity issues at the grassroots level.

Senior Fellows also participated in seminars and site visits one day a week, focusing on themes such as minority activism in the Bay Area, philanthropy and volunteerism, the free speech movement, environmental justice, social entrepreneurship in Silicon Valley. The Fellowship was offered from 2006 – 2008.
