Morten Svendstorp
Board Chair, Humanity in Action Denmark
2005 Copenhagen Fellowship
Morten Svendstorp is working as Public Affairs Lead for Novo Nordisk, advising on the politics of the green transition and energy issues.<\/span>\r\n\r\nPrior to joining Novo Nordisk, Morten worked in a wide array of jobs in the Danish legislative and executive branch, including as a Strategic Advisor to the Danish Minister for Climate, Energy and Utilities. Previously, Morten worked as team leader of the Ministry\u2019s Energy Governance Program, overseeing Denmark\u2019s bilateral energy cooperation with the US, the UK, South Korea, Germany and the Netherlands.\r\n\r\nPrior to working at the Ministry, Morten has also served as the Senior Advisor on climate, energy and the environment at the Danish Embassy in Washington and a political advisor to the Danish Socialdemocratic Party in the Danish Parliament for five years. Steven Jensen
Vice-Chair, Humanity in Action Denmark
Steven L. B. Jensen is Senior Researcher at The Danish Institute for Human Rights. He holds a PhD in History. Before joining The Danish Institute for Human Rights, he held positions with UNAIDS based in Geneva and The Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He has worked with global health and human rights over two decades and also on international human rights diplomacy. <\/span>\r\n\r\nHis publications include the multiple prize-winning book The Making of International Human Rights. The 1960s, Decolonization and the Reconstruction of Global Values (CUP 2016) and the co-edited anthology Histories of Global Inequality: New Perspectives (Palgrave 2019). His forthcoming book Social Rights and the Politics of Obligation in History (co-edited with Charles Walton) will be published by Cambridge University Press in 2022. He has previously published books on Genocide (2003) and on Denmark and the Holocaust (2003) and was the editor of the first Danish language introduction to the field of Genocide studies (2000). Board Member, Humanity in Action Denmark

Dima Jirjis is a Humanity in Action Denmark Board member, she holds a MSc in Development and International Relations with an emphasis on Global Refugee Studies. Dima <\/span>was born in Iraq and came to Denmark at the age four with her family as refugees. Growing up among different cultures, Dima is deeply interested in understanding and interacting with people from various parts of the world. During her BA studies in Intercultural Education and Arabic, her interest in working with children and young people grew. Through volunteer work, Dima has participated in and organized camps for refugee children living in asylum centers in Zealand, Denmark. In her spare time, she teaches Arabic to children and adults. Jonas Bredal Juul
Board Member, Humanity in Action Denmark
Jonas Bredal Juul holds a dual-degree master\u2019s in political science from University of Copenhagen and conflict resolution & mediation from Tel Aviv University.\u00a0<\/span>His work experience includes being political officer at the Danish Embassy in Belgrade, intern at the Danish Embassy in Kyiv, and a student assistant at different departments of the Danish MFA and Prime Minister\u2019s Office. Furthermore, he has organized and moderated numerous local and international events on a broad variety of topics<\/span>. Morten Kj\u00e6rum is the Director of the Raoul Wallenberg Institute of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law and adjunct Professor at Aalborg University.\u00a0Appointed by the UN Secretary General he serves at\u00a0the\u00a0UN\u00a0Board of Trustees of the Voluntary Fund for Technical Cooperation in the Field of Human Rights and of the Universal Periodic Review Trust Fund for Financial and Technical Assistance.\u00a0He is member of the Board of Trustees of the Swedish youth organization \u2018Fryshuset\u2019 and board member of the U-based Center for Democracy and Technology, CDT.<\/p>\r\nMorten was the first Director of the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights and was founding director of the Danish Institute for Human Rights. Mahmoud<\/span> Mansour is a Danish-Palestinian 24-year old activist, living in Copenhagen. He is currently studying law at the University of Copenhagen, while working in the psychiatric sector and at the Danish Competition and Consumer Authority as a legal advisor. Previously, he has been an activist for the Social Liberal Youth Party in Denmark, interfering in public debate and has written several Opinion\u2019s on the National Newspapers. As an ambassador, he had an active role in Red Cross\u2019 yearly charity fundraising, collecting money for refugees Worldwide. He has a big interest in human rights, minorities\u2019 rights\u2019, The Middle East, integration and the Rule of Law. He is passionate about traveling, exploring new cultures and he has visited more than 40 countries. In his free time, he like to go to the gym, meditate and get his weekly all-you-can-eat sushi at the local sushi bar. Through her content creation, she encourages children to become curious citizens of the world while teaching them that they are never too young to create a positive change!\r\n\r\nMaria has worked and studied in Denmark and abroad and has been involved with both local and international NGOs. Board Deputy, Humanity in Action Denmark
Lina Gr\u00f8nlund Kristensen holds a master in Business & Development Studies from CBS and a BA in Business, Language and Culture with a regional specialisation in Latin American and Spanish speaking markets. She has spent more than 2,5 years in Latin America, working, travelling and volunteering in areas of development, international business opportunities and diplomacy.\u00a0\u00a0With a special interest in universal human needs and rights, Lina has primarily worked in the health and food sector. In 2017, Lina worked with a Women's rights group in Nicaragua, where she supported their work and gained insight into how agriculture and food production plays a key role in the independization of women in a patriarchal society.<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\nLearning new skills is one of Lina's favourite activities. She trains towel-swinging techniques and studies the properties of essential oils to become a Sauna Aufguss Master.
