From February 26 to 28, another seminar was held as part of the FeMig.Lab project, which Humanity in Action Poland co-organizes with Minor, the Ethnographic Museum of Istria, LVR Industrial Museums, and the Centre for the History of Migrants.
This time, we met in Leuven, Belgium, where together with historians, researchers, educators, and activists from across Europe, we participated in a wide range of activities under the common theme: “Raising Voices from the Low Countries.”
During the workshops, we explored the history of women’s labor migration in the Netherlands and Belgium, and learned methods for working with personal narratives that help bring these stories to light and highlight their impact on our societies today.
While walking through the city, we discovered places related to Islam in Leuven, and at the Red Star Line Museum in Antwerp, we delved into the personal stories of migrants.
Humanity in Action was represented by Larysa Michalska, a project manager actively involved in the initiative.
The next seminar will take place in Kraków.
