This meeting kicks off a new series of 10 expert webinars inspired by Prof. Gregory Stanton’s 10 Stages of Genocide theory, the foundation of our 10 STAGES educational app.
During each discussion, we will explore how historical patterns continue to shape our world and what we can do to stop them.

Miriam Synger is an educator, influencer and author known online as @jestem_zydowka. She educates about Jewish culture, Jews living in Poland, explains the basics of Judaism and debunks myths and stereotypes about Jews.
Jelle Zijlstra is a human rights advocate, educator, and Humanity in Action/Landecker Democracy Fellow. Jelle is one of the co-founders of Oy Vey Acts, a collective of Jewish activists that work on several issues related to being Jewish in a Dutch post-Holocaust context.
In this session, we’ll reflect on the early warning signs – Classification and Symbolization – and discuss how divisions and imposed identities still fuel exclusion and discrimination today.
Miriam and Jelle will bring their unique perspectives rooted in education, activism, and memory work to help us understand the challenges and opportunities of addressing these dynamics in our communities.
