On June 8th, Humanity in Action Fellows Sharon Chin, Allister Chang, and Tara Dickman participated in a talk titled “the Transatlantic Conversation: Anti Asian Racism, Discrimination, and Violence.” The panelists in this event, which was hosted by Koï magazine founder Julie Hamaïde, discussed anti Asian racism, discrimination and violence from a comparative and action-oriented perspective. They shared their experiences in community organizing, building intergroup solidarity, and improving representation. Additionally, they discussed why France – US solidarity matters. The panel also featured Cat Shieh, Mỹ Tâm H. Nguyễn, Grace Ly, Ya-Han Chuang, and Rui Wang.

This event was organized by Koï and Le Next Level, in partnership with Asian Americans Advancing Justice, Creative Sanctum, Humanity in Action, The German Marshall Fund, and the Landecker Democracy Fellowship.
