Remembering Shereen Akhtar

Humanity in Action is saddened to hear of the passing of Senior Fellow Shereen Akhtar (Paris Fellowship, 2011). We extend our condolences to Shereen’s family, friends, and community.

Shereen was a writer, a winner of the London Writers Award 2021, as well as a supporter of the Islamic Relief and Young Minds charities. She was loved within her cohort and beyond. Recently, two members of Shereen’s writing group, Sukh Brar and Victoria Cano, shared their memories of Shereen via Spread The Word.
