Dani prijateljstva - Friendship Day

Article

The UN General Assembly proclaimed the International Day of Friendship in 2011 with the idea that friendship between peoples, countries, cultures and individuals can inspire peace efforts and build bridges between communities. The resolution places emphasis on involving young people, as future leaders, in community activities that include different cultures and promote international understanding and respect for diversity.

Since the fellows that make this group – Ajna Mujagić, Ines Dedić, and Ivana Janko have developed great friendships since the first time they met in December 2021, their goal is to celebrate the International Friendship Day by creating flash mob choreography and involving as much diverse groups of people to help them celebrate together. The fellows will create a unique symbol that will symbolize the Friendship Day and will reach out to various NGOs in Bugojno to help them reach as much young people who will participate in the flash mobs across the city. The fellows will also hand out friendship T-shirts and have the participants create friendship bracelets to celebrate this special day. Flash mobs will then be recorded and edited into a video clip that will be promoted. The main goal of this project is to raise awareness on the importance of friendship, breaking prejudices and to promote essential values. This project will be promoted on social media, through traditional media outlets and on project’s YouTube channel.
